NORTHEASTERN REGION:
Pray for good communication and real unity among workers here. There have been situations where "disciples" have gone from group to group thereby avoiding being accountable to anyone.
Pray for a team as they continue to seek the Lord's will about buying a place to house their various ministries/businesses, instead of paying separate rents. It would also serve as a center for worship and Bible study.
Pray for various believers whose spouses do not yet believe. Pray also for single believers seeking believing mates.
NORTHCENTRAL REGION:
Pray for an enthusiastic new temporary worker that her experience here will help to clarify her calling, and that God would use her to touch many lives here.
Continue praying for new believer Mohammed. He has had a rough time during and since Ramadan. He is very busy and seems to have no time to meet with workers who are concerned for his growth in Christ.
CENTRAL REGION:
Praise the Lord for two small Bible study groups that have begun to study the scriptures in Berber! Pray workers and believers will increase in ability and use of stories to share the gospel and Bible truths with friends.
Pray for a group of believers that stopped meeting together for worship due to relationship tensions. There is no obvious solution to the situation. Ask the Lord to work. There are so few groups that when one breaks up, it can be quite discouraging. Pray too for employment opportunities for believers.
Continue praying for those workers trying to settle into new locations, seeking appropriate housing, etceteras and for those deciding where they should settle. Pray also for perseverance for workers in language study.
WESTERN COASTAL REGION:
Praise the Lord for and pray for a new group of all national believers forming in this city. Pray for a believer’s cousin who seems close to the Kingdom.
Pray for a young man seriously considering the Gospel message. The Word of God seems to be coming alive to Him. Pray the Holy Spirit will work in him.
Continue praying for an informal weekly dinner discussion fellowship of expatriate and nationals that includes believers and non-believers. Pray the non-believers will come to faith and bring others into the Kingdom with them.
Please continue praying for official approval of a long-term effort to bless the urban poor and for wisdom for those seeking to launch it.
Pray the Lord would make the way straighter and easier for non-government organizations (NGO's) to obtain approval here.
Pray that a couple approaching six months in the country will find their joy in the Lord as the difficulties of their task become more real to them. Pray for special encouragements for them and for protection against the darts of the evil one.
SOUTHCENTRAL REGION:
Please pray for a longtime worker who has been unable to renew his residency permit in the country this year. This may be the Lord speaking about a change of direction. Pray he will have the Lord's wisdom to know what to do, and then will have the courage to do it.
Please pray for more rain in the region over the winter months.
LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH:
Pray that 2006 will be a year of cultivation and growth for the church.
Pray for the Sunday School that the church hopes to begin for the first time this month. Pray for ministry that the church began last year at an old folk’s home.
Pray for brother M that the Lord would protect him against the devil and would use him mightily.
Pray for the expatriate friends of the church who the Lord has used among the body and who have been a great blessing to the church.
SOUTHWESTERN REGION:
Please pray for protection of health for believers, especially for the young children of expatriate workers. Ask the Great Physician to heal and protect.
FAR SOUTH:
Praise the Lord for the Kingdom miracles of 2005: new believers, others who are coming very close, miracles of provision, and open doors. Pray for more of the same in 2006.
EUROPEAN PORTS:
(Distribution Ministry)
Pray for distributors to fill every need at every port. At least 500 volunteers are needed from the middle of June to the beginning of September.
Pray for the highly effective volunteer Arab “evangelists”. Pray the Lord clearly directs each one He wants to be involved and for their impact in the lives of North Africans. Pray for the granting of their visas and provision of their expenses.
Pray for the leaders at each port and those who serve the overall work. Pray they walk with the Lord, trusting and receiving from Him the wisdom and understanding they need.
